COMMON FOODS ARE CHOKING HAZARDS TO INFANTS AND TOTS
The following foods have been identified by the American Academy of Pediatrics as choking hazards for infants and children. Restrict these foods to youngsters who do not chew their foods well are at risk for choking.
- hot dogs
- chunks of meat or cheese
- chunks of peanut butter
- hard candy
- chewing gum
- nuts and seeds
- whole grapes
- popcorn
- raw vegetables
- raisins
